  • Pressure Area Basics: PAB is an online education program developed by the Victorian Quality Council for use by all clinical staff. The package is composed of three modules.
  • European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Council: Provides online resources to assist in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
  • WoundsWest Education Program: The central component of the WoundsWest Education Program is the Core Module which addresses the basic principles of wound assessment and management. Satellite Modules are being developed which build on the material in the Core Module for each wound category. Satellite Modules will be added to the Education Program over the next three years.
  • Global Wound Academy: This is an educational, interactive, website designed to improve your knowledge of wound care and the range of advanced and active wound care materials available. Registration is required.
  • CancerNursing.org: CancerNursing.org is a website dedicated to the provision of high quality resources which aim to enhance the understanding and the skills of health professionals and others concerned with the care of cancer patients. The CancerNursing.org site has been developed by UK registered charity, Nurse Learning CancerNursing.Org. Courses provided free on this site include Cancer Care for Children and Young People; Cancer of the Oesophagus; Cancer of the Prostate; Graseby Syringe Drivers in Palliative Care; Hypercalcaemia in Malignant Disease; Introduction to Palliative Care Nursing; Management of Skin-Tunnelled CVCs; Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation; PICCs and PICC Chemotherapy and Wound Management in Cancer and Palliative Care. Registration is required.
  • The Auscultation Assistant: Provides heart sounds, heart murmurs, and breath sounds in order to help medical students and others improve their physical diagnosis skills.
  • Introduction to Safety and Quality Principles: This education package and the accompanying checklist has been designed by the Victorian Quality Council to increase awareness of safety and quality principles in health care. It will take you approximately 20 minutes to complete the education package. The checklist applies to processes within your organisation and should be completed with your manager or their delegate.
  • ECG Library: A collection of realistic looking recordings which will help improve your ECG skills.
  • ECG Learning Centre: An interactive ECG tutorial that represents an introduction to clinical electrocardiography.
  • ECG Rounds: Challenging ECGS with explanations.
  • Normal and Abnormal EKGs and Heart Sounds
  • Trauma.Org: Trauma.org is an independent, non-profit organisation providing global education, information and communication resources for professionals in trauma and critical care. Registration is required.
  • Sudden Death Trauma Scenarios: The Trauma Department at Liverpool Hospital has been developing the concept of "Sudden Death Trauma Scenarios" to facilitate rapid decision making in critically injured patients.
  • Better Blood Continuing Education Programme: This programme has been developed by Transfusion experts from the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service Effective Use of Blood Group and is supported by specialists from the UK Blood Services.
