GRHANet has developed a major communications network for the health sector in the Grampians region of Western Victoria. The services provided by this network include internet access, data connectivity, shared services, IP Telephony and room based video conferencing.
The IP telephony network has over 5000 lines connected and is continuing to expand. Costs within the network area at no charge and we have eliminated timed calls for long distance calls and calls to mobiles.
GRHANet also has one of the best video conferencing networks in the southern hemisphere. This room based network again offers free usage within the GRHANet network with charges for off network usage passed on at cost.
The Video Conferencing resources are available in 37 sites throughout the Grampians region and are available to the wider community on a fee for service basis.
